smart card reader and a Medicare question

Post by snorkleface » Wed Jun 28, 2006 9:13 am

I want to thank you for the reponses to my question about loading my smart card reader. It is in and is working well. Encore Pro no problem.

On another note, any of you dealing with Medicare, can you tell me if you need a Rx to get a new type mask ,nasal to pillows for example, for Medicare to pay for it? My DME says I have to get a new Rx from my Dr. if I change styles for Medicare to accept the order. True?

snorkleface:

No, as far as I know NO SCRIP is needed to change masks! I think the DME is not well informed! You can call Medicare and they will give you the information you need!

Hope this helps!
