Hi ,i cant seem to get flow limitations or Rera event showing in my events flag.I have the boxes ticked in preferences.
also i see that the pressure is going up without any events..is it chasing the flow limitations ? is there a way to deal with the f/l or should i not worry about them.I aslo noticed that the resmed is using a higher pressure than the phillips i was using did,,,do resmeds tend to use a higher pressure ?
cheers Dazza

The reason you can't get FLs and RERAs on your events graph is because your machine doesn't flag them separately that way...only the Respironics machines will show FLs and RERAs in the events graph.
Now the brand new AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her model machine will show RERAs flagged as events (so I am told but haven't yet seen them on a software report) but only in the for Her apap special mode...the regular apap mode won't show them.
Your pressure changes could be related to flow limitations but also could be related to stuff that we don't see show up on the software report that the machine is trying to prevent. What you see as flagged events is what slips past the defenses and we don't know what all it prevented.
Flow limitations are something the machine will respond to so they can be important.
Respironic auto adjust machines will also respond to flow limitations.
From what I have read ResMed may respond a little more quickly and maybe a little more aggressively.
Your flow limitation graph is far from horrible though. I have seen much worse.
Do your FLs need to be reduced further? I don't know...this is where clinical correlation probably would be helpful.
If you are sleeping well, feeling decent and general satisfied with your therapy and how you feel then I don't know if I would be worrying about those little spikes in FLs. They appear to cycle a bit which makes me wonder if they are related to supine sleeping or REM.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

snores and flow limitations drive pressure up fastest.
it's not going up very far, but if you don't like the increase, bump up your min pressure.

You are such a success story with CPAP. I bet the sleep will be better if pressure increased to 10.

Thanks for input ,,,last nights data,,,,are there meant to be min values on some of the statistics ???? Also is it ok to turn the power off to the machine everyday or are you supposed to leave it on.

ahh ok no probs,,,there was a gap when i turned the machine on so that explains it.I have ramp off so i think it starts the monitoring straight away.
cheers
