C 100 battery?

Post by Dive Apnea » Thu Apr 02, 2015 1:58 pm

Just bought one, seemed to have good reviews, needed something for when flying to my yearly camp destination, rather than have my buddy bring his 2 deep cycle, 6V system to put in my small tent. Also, use it for local trips, rather than unhook boat batteries, could even do a backpack trip. Anyone have this unit? Any feedback? Wondering how long it will last, also, couldn't get a good answer for charging it, while not in use, might be months between trips. Usually, batteries remain charging via trickle charge, not sure if this unit works this way? Seems nice, small, light, no LOUD inverter, quiet, only bummer, doesn't come with cigarette lighter attachment to charge by a vehicle.

I have one, not a bad battery, but I think you might find that you don't get as much time out of the charge that is quoted.

I use it with my Transcend Auto with pressure around the 13 cm neighborhood (plus or minus) and I get about nine hours out of it, but would definately not get two full nights from a full charge. That's just running the machine with no humidifier, and I have to use the Transcend converter as the apap runs on something like 17.2 volts.

I see the S9 in you equipment profile so if that's the machine you want to run you'll either need the ResMed DC converter for the S9 or the converter from the c100 people as the S9 runs on 24 volts. I think the folks that would get the longest run times from the c100 are the folks with Resperonics machines as they run on 12 volts, so they seem to be the best machines to run off 12 volt batteries.

As far as storage the c100 will drain at a slow to moderate rate when not in use. I looked at mine after about two months and it was down to around 30% so be sure and top it up every month or so.

Used cpap 9.7 hours, I know seems like a lot of sleep, but wrestled around 3-5am. Nonetheless, machine running entire time. Air pressure 10, humidifier 3. Battery still had just over 1/2 charge left. Pretty happy with that, I'll assume 8 hours a night camping, no humidifier. With cig lighter charger, should get me through 3 nights no problem.

that's great.............glad that works out for you............I got considerably less with my set up, but that may be just difference in the power draw from the machines or my battery doesn't have as much punch as yours.

Sounds like you are all set.

I have a owell industries 12-266 battery and I can get approximately 4 nights @ 6 or hrs per night with it (no humidifier). I've used for 3 night backpacking trips and there was enough charge for another night.

Btw, I had to get this model with inverter for my machine. Some machines dont need inverter, battery $295
