I finally got new Remstar M cpap and a Comfortlite 2 mask. The series M I really like. It sure beats my Solo LX. The M is quieter than the Solo was and I really like the c-flex. It makes it much easier to exhale. This is the first time I've used a humidifier, I wished that I had pushed for a humidifier years ago. One thing that I have found out is that when you inhale the M will startup automatically. I didn't know that. I have averaged longer sleeping times for the 4 days that I've had the M which makes me happy . The Comfortlite 2 is a different story. I like the design of the unit but it will not stay on my head. During the night when I roll around it comes off. So I went back to my Breeze head gear. If Respironics would put a rubber foam piece on the back of the strap like the Breeze has I believe it stay on no matter how much movement I made. Now I need to find a battery pack for backup in case we loose power; that is no fun. So to put it in a few words...I like the Remstar series M cpap. If anybody has a suggestion about where I would find a thin rubber foam piece for the comfortlite 2 let me know.

i'm glad you're happier with the remstar m, as I also am currently using a solo lx i got back in '99. i'm looking to switch so I think i will try the remstar m w/ cflex. i think i'll try the humidifier too, my mouth gets extremely dry. i'm paying out of pocket, so i can choose which machine. two questions, is yours the auto version? does it have the c-flex?
some posts suggest these are better tolerated as the pressure delivered reflects your needs, not just an average.
thanks for the post. it has helped me in my decision
