unless you're a hard core masochist, I'd suggest getting sleepyhead instead.

Kathy ... welcome to the group.

Sleepyhead is a free open source program to read and display the data from your machine
It is better and more friendly that Encore
You can get it here :

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

When you insert the SD card into your computer are you getting a little pop up box that just says "what do you want to do?" and gives you some choices that pertain to the SD card itself? If so, I think what you are seeing is the normal Windows pop up that happens when a SD card is inserted in a computer. Just X out of it or close it because you don't do anything with the SD card from that popup.

You have to open Encore and use it to get your data. Have you read the Help section for how to use Encore?

Regarding SleepyHead....the "no download available" thing seems to be related to computer browser issues.
The downloads available are there but some people can't see them.
Try the link in my signature line and tell me if you get that same message or if you can scroll down and finally get the download choices.

I am familiar with Encore Basic...yes, like PR says we have to be a little bit of a masochist to use it but once a person gets through the initial process and becomes familiar with the steps...other than it being as slow as a 3 legged turtle...it's not horrible.

If you are still getting the "no downloads available" message when you click on the link in my signature.....then we have to do something different to get you SleepyHead....I can help but I need to know what Windows version is on your computer and is it 32 or 64 bit.

Try this
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/978 ... -32bit.zip
It's the SleepyHead 32 bit version...I downloaded it and unzipped it with 7 zip (PITA to use) and then I zipped/compressed it with the regular Windows zip program...so you should be able to unzip it with your Windows extraction tool....right click mouse and choose "extract all".
Once extracted go into the main folder and scroll down the list of files till you see the last file in the list and click on it and see if Sleepyhead will launch...if it does just use that file and make yourself a shortcut to your desktop or task bar for easy access.
If it won't work...get back with me.

If you still haven't figured out Encore Basic send me a PM and tell me where you are having problems and I will try to help.
I am going to bed now....It's almost pumpkin turning time.

Thanks for all your help on SD card guys & gals.Have now managed to open Sleepyhead as had forgotten i had already downloaded but could not manage to open it.

Thanks for all the help guys & gals, forgot i had already downloaded a copy of sleepyhead but was unable to open it but have now managed that with some help from you.
Sleep docs in NZ are not skilled in ASV or Adapt SV here so only try to pedal what they got to sell which is CPAP or BiPAP which were both unsuitable for my condition just keep on that CPAP will fix anything and i'm unlikely to need ASV even though i had 50% CSA's in my sleep study and i know i have an issue with periodic breathing.
Have set up machine at good pressures etc. for me but dont seem to be able to get machine to give extra pressure during apneas etc.
Settings are ..
Max 23.0
EPAP max 13.5
EPAP min 13.5 PS min 4.0
PS Max 4.0
BPM AUTO Rise time 3
Ramp time 0.20
Ramp start 12.0Tube type ON
Tube type ON
Tube type 22
Auto OFF

Machine won't seem to rise above 17.0 during apneas etc so obviously i have some setting wrong.
Can anyone point me to somewhere on the forum about this or have suggestions.
Thanks once again for all the help.

IPAP Max may be 23.0 but I think you have it's hands tied with the EPAP max and min equaling 13.5. If EPAP can't go up then IPAP can't go up by default.
And PS min and max set to 4 means PS can't vary...so you get 13.5 plus 4 and thus the 17.5.
Essentially making the machine function like a fixed bilevel machine and can't do what it needs to do to deal with centrals if that is what you are needing this machine for.

You need to open up the EPAP max and the PS max to allow the machine more flexibility.
