help for side sleepers.
help for side sleepers.
Dr Park mentioned this neat thing for side sleepers in his latest blog post where he talks about the advantages of side sleeping.

Hmmm, I could pull all the pillows out of hiding, and make a pile on the floor!

Thanks for that, good article.
I'm not sure my chiro would agree with his one comment regarding tilting the head back ( as in CPR position). He maintains the spine should be left straight during sleep or rest to avoid issues like degenerative neck/disc disease. However, there are some excellent suggestions in the blog.

Re: help for side sleepers.
I probably could have used something like that when I had bilateral frozen shoulders. I kind of do that now by stacking up two pillows and the way I position my arm. I also have a big, fat pillow to rest my other arm on.
We're going out of town this weekend, and it's exhausting to think of all the schlepping I do for car trips. Two big pillows, one neck pillow and a pillow speaker, CPAP with an extra mask, distilled water, and breakfast foods I can eat. Sheesh! That's all before clothes!

Re: help for side sleepers.
If you can get hold of chunks of foam someplace (there are stores that sell nothing else), cut it yourself and cover it (that's the easy part) you can probably have your very own funny bed for fairly cheap... if you're handy and creative of course.
