what an interesting experience. What I have found, like most times is nobody cares more about your treatment than you. One DME I dealt with had zero knowledge and I choose to move on. I am still learning a lot and that is why I don't post much. But in the two short weeks; I purchased my own "good" machine, I learned my flow rate was not good, I use sleepyhead, and that I needed to change masks to make it work for me. I also learned how to deal with a cold and stuffy nose with cpap. I called a few friends and coworkers to see what they could share and school off their knowledge; what shocked me is how little knowledge they had even though they have been treating for years. I guess I now understand why the success rate for treatment sucks. Several paid way to much for a substandard machine. Two weeks in and I am finally getting good sleep with the right mask, the right humidity setting and right air settings. For once in a long time I don't wake up crabby and with a cloudy head. I am sure there will be more learning and bumps down the road. Like I told my fiancee- its like a science project. Anyway- thanks to all who make this what it is. Without your input, my machine would be in the closet and I would be going back to not sleeping and living with being tired all the time.
