AHI ZERO last night!

Post by wardmiller » Wed Jan 14, 2015 9:37 am

When I downloaded my data this morning I was surprised -- and pleased -- to see I had zero Events last night. All the other graphs appeared to be as usual, so I'm guessing it wasn't a data gathering fluke. In the 2.5 years I've been using CPAP, this is the first time I've had zero AHI.

I've been concerned because since July I have been recording significant Centrals almost every day. They have ranged from AHI of about 3 to about 9, sometimes as high as 15. In the past couple of weeks they have been way down, so maybe I've turned a corner.

Wishing a Great New Year to everyone here.

That's fantastic. Sounds like your discipline is paying off and your body is reacting to the treatment. Happy for you.

I echo the BRAVO!

And I don't want to poop on your success, but... You might want to reset your machine
if you see this repeated over several nights in a row.
It may be unique to my ASV box or my usage - YMMV.
I've had this (machine recording zero AHI) happen probably every four to six months.
First time it happened, the other values were populated in the results so I was really
happy; surprised but happy. A zero was VERY unusual for me. At the suggestion of
my doctors technician I reset the machine by powering it off then I unplugged it for
a few minutes. Next morning the AHI was not recorded as zero.
So now when I review the download(s) and notice several nights w/ AHI=zero I reset
the machine.

Well, last night my AHI was 1.75, with CA 1.21, so I'm guess the zero for the night before was actually what I experienced.

Congrats! My lowest ever in 9 months on my machine has been 0.59, and that got me all excited. If I had a zero I'd be celebrating.
