First night using Sleepyhead. Couple Questions....

Post by icipher » Tue Jan 13, 2015 7:52 am

Until this point, I''ve always used Encore, but I decided to download sleepyhead, and what an improvement.

My questions:

1. Does sleepyhead differentiate between PB and CSR? Each time I have any, it just shows "CSR: .34%" for example. Some people's sleepyhead graphs i see it say PB. I am trying to know if this is for sure CSR, or if sleepyhead just titles all PB as CSR.

Image

2. Overall, How does my chart look? Any problem areas you can notice? Machine is a PR system 1 auto sv Advanced. in other words, an ASV.

I still consider myself new at this - going on my 5th month and still learning a lot. Your graphs looks a lot like mine except my pressure is lots higher. Your leaks look great too. Most of my AHI like yours is made up of hypopneas.

In sleepyhead, you can click on the little triangle by the date and it will minimize the monthly calendar and bring the other data up further. It makes it easier to get all the info in the screen shot.

Thanks, from what i gather my leaks are under control. Going forward, if ALL i see is "CSR", i will attribute it to just PB.

You can get an idea by looking at the wave form. CSR are rhythmic in a crescendo decrescendo pattern. Here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheyne%E2% ... espiration if you click on the wave form picture it will enlarge to show you.

csr is a type of pb.

it wouldn't hurt to zoom in and check.

that said, pr claims to identify 'pb' whatever their definitions for that are, while resmed, with the airsense line, claims to be able to identify csr, more specificially.

it should be labeled 'pb' on a prs1 machine display.... but, it's a work in progress.

Question: How do you get your post to show full size graphs? I tried posting a graph and the only option I could see was "add attachment" which turns it into a small thumbnail at the bottom of my post.

Using an external image service gives you a lot more flexibility in posting to the form. Examples on how to use imgur can be seen here https://sleep.tnet.com/reference/tips/imgur

I use photobobucket, only since i've had it for over ten years. I've heard there are better 3rd party image hosting sites out there.

On a side note, it's remarkable how much more powerful Sleepyhead is compared to Encore.
