Apologies in advance for the newbie (first!) post: sleep studies 12/04/2014 and 12/05/2014, began using cpap 12/19/2014. Mild sleep apnea. Obvious family history of (undiagnosed) sleep apnea.
Software:
Am interested in reviewing my data via Rescan and/or Sleepyhead. Question 1: does Sleepyhead work with my cpap machine? I don't see it listed on the download page. I see that there's a tutorial re it here, and will research it if it is compatible with my machine, but most posts I see on here are discussions re the ResMed S9 series and Sleepyhead, so I am wondering if Sleepyhead will work with my particular cpap machine. Question 2: How can I get a copy of Rescan? Their website says "physicians only" or something similar.
Comparisons:
Still waking up and taking my mask off, but slight incremental improvement each night on that. No complaints about machine, headgear, nasal pillows, comfort, etc., but pretty much just bought the machine that the Sleep Center doc prescribed (from the Sleep Center). Figured I had to start somewhere, although my two "long-term cpap use" friends swear by their Devilbiss machines (which my Sleep Center does not use/sell). Obviously still researching all of this myself. Not educated or confident enough to buy a machine online the first time out, and there seems to be a lot of trial and error in getting machine/headgear/mask to the optimal place for a lot of cpap users. I am interested in comparison info from those of you who have used different makes of machines. Sort of interested in buying a second machine for backup/travel/etc., and I could not determine if my friends' comparisons were between different makes of machines, or different features of machines, or a mixture of both. If there is a product comparison elsewhere on this site, please point me to it.

Believe I have found the answers to my own questions for software. Sorry for the bother. Still interested in opinions from longtime users about their machines for comparison purposes.

1) as of verions 0.9.8-1, sleepyhead does support the as10 series. get it from the link below. resscan is for masochists, though someone will end up telling you were to get a copy.Pugfan wrote:Am interested in reviewing my data via Rescan and/or Sleepyhead.
here's a good starting point for comparo's (it needs to be updated for the very latest machines, like yours (gives the hairy eyeball to Janknitz)) https://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/2011/ ... -machines/
