I got a full face mask

Post by Noctuary » Tue Jan 06, 2015 1:31 pm

.....but it doesn't fit the hose. I called and was told several times that the hose was "standard" and that the mask should fit.

Good grief.

that's because *ALL* cpap masks, hoses and machines use the exact *SAME* 22mm fitting.

Did you get the little elbow joint that the hose hooks in to? It counts as a mask part not a hose part...

Hey~

I'll get back to you all later; not at home now. Thanks for the replies.

And yes, I do have the elbow piece attached to the mask.

do you have the swivel connector.......I think you need this piece to get it hooked up to the hose:

Nope, doesn't fit. And I do have a swivel piece, but not the one in the link. The mask is a F&P Simplus.

Oh, your equipment profile had a 407 nasal mask listed.

I use the Simplus, it's a small gray colored swivel adapter like this

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/fp-eso ... wivel.html

They are easy to lose, sometimes when I take mask off the hose it ends up stuck in the hose instead of the mask.....at any rate you must have the swivel adapter in order for a hose to fit the mask, without the swivel you're out of luck unless you like duct tape.

Yeah pretty pricey as a stand alone piece'. I was just using that page as a reference so he could see what it looked like - I didn't even look at the price.

Fortunately they come with the mask - hopefully he has it, and just temporarily miss placed it

The piece you are referring to is a permanent piece of the hose (the female rubber connector end) the hose in the picture is ResMed Slimline, if it were another brand hose it would still have the female end piece of the hose that is rubber and fits over the plastic male connectors from cpap machine or any mask.
