Sleepyhead Summary Only Data with New AS10

Post by brrit » Sat Jan 03, 2015 9:35 am

Total newb here having spent my first night with my new AS10 last night and having some trouble with importing data into Sleepyhead. SH is only showing summary data from last night. Is there a setting I need to change on the AS10? Or, did I just import improperly?

Any suggestions would be great.
Using SH v.0.9.8-1 on Mac.

Are you positive your Airsense machine is the "AutoSet" model......the model name is embossed on front of machine on the lower right hand corner. There is nothing to set in Sleepyhead, but there is a low end Airsense machine that won't show detailed data.

Tangledhose -

Yes, it is an AutoSet. You did give me a bit of scare there for a second that I had bought the wrong machine, but all is expected. Any other ideas on why it didn't import as expected?

Maybe it will work just fine tomorrow and is just working out some new user issues.

Glad you have the AutoSet.......their straight cpap model just does the summary data......sorry I had you going there for a second......My Bad

I don't know why the data didn't show up properly in Sleepyhead........I have been using earlier versions of Sleepyhead with previous machines, but when I got the Airsense I downloaded the same version that you indicate which works with the new machine. I did not have any problems like you describe......wouldn't hurt to try the whole SD card download again and see what happens or give it one more day and try again.

One thing to look at for sure is that the SD card is not locked and when you put it in the machine and watch the screen that says preparing SD card........the machine will store summary data in its internal memory, and will write that data to the card when inserted. The detailed data is stored on the SD card rather than internal memory, but if you did get the summary data on Sleepyhead then that would indicate the machine is writing to the card OK.

I do see you are using a Mac......I have no experience with Mac, maybe a Mac guy will chime in, but you have me stumped at this point. I'd say give it another shot after one more nights data.

Just to clarify something in my last post about where the Airsense stores the data. If you didn't have the SD card in the machine during a sleep session the machine will store summary data in its internal memory, but it won't store detailed data. So say you forgot to have the card inserted one night, then put the card back in the next day - the machine will write the summary data from the previous night onto the SD card, but you would be missing the detailed data. When the SD is in the machine for the next night it will be writing the current night detailed data onto the SD card.

I just wanted to point that out to let you know what would happen if you had a night when the SD card was not in the machine - lots of folks, including me, have forgotten to put the SD card back into the cpap machine after doing a Sleepyhead data transfer - Oops
