Hey guys,
Now that I have a new CPAP I figured I'd start taking it a bit more seriously and get some data. I haven't read data in the 5 years I've used CPAP, which is pretty bad as I am just going in blind, hoping and assuming I'm getting good therapy.
My biggest question as of right now (as this is going to be a hell of a learning curve) has to do with the amount of time I have of recorded sleep. It says my machine was on for 6 and a half hours. I definitely slept longer than that, I believe I went to bed around 2:30ish A.M and awoke around 11:30am. So I am confused, does anyone have any ideas as to why it's only recording that many hours?
After my first night here's the little breakdown of my sleep:
You had an AHI of 3.28, which is considered technically "treated"
You machine was on for 6 hours, 24 minutes and 39 seconds.
You had no major mask leaks (maximum was 6.00 L/min).
Your pressure was under 10cmH2O for 95% of the time.
Cheers guys!

Re: Just installed Sleepyhead - Plethora of questions
Hi, I know you said you awoke around 11.30, but could it actually have been just after 12? The machine starts a new day at noon, and so only records the previous night until then, and if, e.g. you look for the night's stats after noon, you won't get anything much at all except for any time after noon that you slept... 1 hr, 2 hrs, etc. Of course you can always look at older stats that have been stored. But it's not my machine, and if I misinterpreted something, someone else will definitely let you know!
Re: Just installed Sleepyhead - Plethora of questions
As Julie points out, sometimes, there's some confusion about what a "day" is. It tends to start and stop at noon, but sometimes there's a "computer" question about time zones, etc.
If you got up for a bathroom break or some such and turned the machine off at some time, it may be broken into multiple sessions. Sometimes the hours end up being "split" wrong.
Did you take the card out soon after turning the machine off? If you have problems like this again, see if the problems go away if you leave the card in the machine for 10 minutes or so after turning it off. I'm not saying it takes 10 minutes before it writes the data, but some people have found some strange delays before the data shows up, so just try it.

Re: Just installed Sleepyhead - Plethora of questions
I actualy woke up at about 11:15 this morning, so it wasn't closer to noon. Not a huge deal, but just kind of confusing as to why it was saying that. I didn't get up in the middle of the night either, and I took the card out of the machine about an hour after being awake or so. I'll wait longer next time and see what happens.
Pretty handy piece of software, though. Interested to learn more about it and get some in depth details about my sleep. Right off the bat it seems like my AHI could use a bit of work.

I think somebody that is knowledgeable with your CPAP said that your unit's clock is set to GMT. This could be a consideration.

look at the detailed daily data, also, make sure that your time zone setting is right.NewToCPAP wrote: After my first night here's the little breakdown of my sleep:
