How much data can the card hold?
Silly question, after all this time on therapy, but I've never had to worry about it before. I download my data every week with no problem for those seven nights, but now I'm wondering just how many nights can be stored on the SD card before it starts overwriting. (I'll be traveling this week and will be away for more than two weeks. I'm not taking my laptop with me, so I won't be downloading the data while I'm gone.) I do have an additional SD card (from my camera) that I can use when the main one is full, but it's only 256MB, and I have no idea how much that one will hold, either. I believe the card I currently use in my machine is about 4GB.
Not a big deal. If I lose some data, so be it. Just wondering if anyone knows the answer.
TIA.

Re: How much data can the card hold?
I have a PRS1 460P. I've been using it nightly for about 180 days and it's got 25MB of data stored on it. Other things being equal my 2GB card will hold about 37 years worth of data. Yours may be a bit different but probably not much different. I average about 6.5 hours of use nightly.
If you right click on on the card in Windows explorer you'll see how much space is in use and how much is available.

I've heard reports of over a year on the standard 2g card.BleepingBeauty wrote:Silly question, after all this time on therapy, but I've never had to worry about it before. Re: How much data can the card hold?
Thanks for the replies. I can't imagine my card holding anywhere near a year's worth of detailed data on it, but I guess I'll see what happens while I'm away. No big deal if it doesn't work out well, as I said in my OP. Just curious.

Re: How much data can the card hold?
Hi,
I'm into therapy a bit over a year, and have 50+ Mb on the card. At that rate, the (2GB) card would be full in about 40 years.
I'll be long gone well before that.

Re: How much data can the card hold?
look at your card, it looks like, from a couple prs1 datasets I've got that a nights worth of data is probably less than 150k.BleepingBeauty wrote:Thanks for the replies. the stock card holds 2gig.
2g=2097152k, or there abouts.

I've been using a PRS1 550 P for 1,247 days and have used 316 MB. The free space is about 1.53 GB.

Re: How much data can the card hold?
If you're wanting to remove the data from the card, can you just put it into your computer and delete it?
Long story short, I may be loading a spare apap machine to a friend and would like to remove previous data.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How much data can the card hold?
Hmm. Thanks for the suggestions to check how much space is left on the card; never thought to check it before, as I download every week. It seems I have about 3.4MB available on it (out of what it says is about 3.7MB total). So I'm good!
FWIW, I've been using this machine/card for two years now.
Again, thanks.

Re: How much data can the card hold?
delete the card, and while it's out, use the clinician menu to reset the data on the machine.JimP wrote:If you're wanting to remove the data from the card, can you just put it into your computer and delete it?

Re: How much data can the card hold?
I suspect that's GB, not MB, or you're reading something wrong.BleepingBeauty wrote:Hmm. Yes, of course it's GB. (Typos R Us. *shrug*)archangle wrote:I suspect that's GB, not MB, or you're reading something wrong.BleepingBeauty wrote:Hmm.
