In the last 1,5 month I have lost 8,5 kg ((go me!!) I'm wondering if this would effect the pressure needed for therapy.
I never been a mouth breather but in the last 2 weeks where I lost 4 kg I noticed the machine started to complain about leakage and this has never happened before. Bought a chinstrap today to keep gob closed my CPAP specialist shop said after looking at my data that it looked like pressure was too high and this made me open my mouth.
What us your thoughts?
Weightloss and pressure changes.
Re: Weightloss and pressure changes.
If you lose even a little weight your face changes and so leaks could occur. You might want to look at a smaller mask size, or something like Pad-a-Cheek.com liners for now, if not another entirely different mask. You might only need a slightly lower pressure as well, but if you're not using software (e.g. SleepyHead) you can't know for sure... consider trying it out, it's free on the forum (see first note - by Pugsy - of the 5-6 above the regular forum ones). And congrats on the loss!
