Sources differ. For example:
"About 36 percent of Type 2 diabetics have sleep apnea, according to the diabetes association." -- http://www.detroitnews.com/story/life/w ... /18934125/
It would be interesting to see the details of the methodology and definitions of the "studies" used to get such numbers. Such statistics are often based merely on, for example, who get sent by docs to be tested--which, naturally, biases the "findings" from the get-go.

In my opinion.

If doctors' decisions to send a patient for a sleep study were consistent,
and generally much more intuitive than they are, we might be able to make sense of these differing reports.
Public education, along with doctor education, varies greatly by teaching hospital, location, and even
individual personalities. How many forum members suffered for years before a diagnosis?
Does anyone believe the situation has improved significantly?
