Kjell,

That's fantastic that you were able to figure out how to use the CPAP machine so quickly AND be able to use it all night without running into big problems.

If you have been using the machine for seven months (30 days X 7 months = 210 days) and have put about 1,800 hours on the CPAP machine (1,800 hours divided by 210 days = roughly 8.5), you are getting about eight hours and thirty minutes of sleep per night.

I gotta say, that is really good just starting out with this therapy. So: Nicely done!!!

Please don't worry about the Google translation Kjell because I can easily understand what you are saying.

Lastly, I have to agree with you about this forum. I am very, very grateful for the people who offered up their time and expertise to get me up and running when I really needed help.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'm happy for you!

Regards,

When I got my Cpap I thought that I have to learn to use it and give it a proper chance .I read here on Cpap.com and got many good ideas how I would fit into the mask .It was hardest to learn to breathe without listen to CPAP and breathe at the same speed as cpap so finally I gasped like a dog .But after a few days it went well .I tested 5 masks and like two of them

Congratulations!!!

Today is 7 months for me. In some ways it seems like forever and in other ways it's hard to believe it's been that long...

Excellent! I just passed 6 months with my present machine, and with just over a month with the loaner, am also around 7 months. During that time I have learned - mostly from this forum - how to take control of the machine and my therapy, and have reduced my AHI from 5.0 to 1. 5 during that time. It's also changed my life considerably for the better: working out again, losing weight, and feeling awake all day. My own thanks and kudos go to those here who are so giving of their time and advice to help.
