I have been using a ResMed S8 Autoset Vantage machine for almost 3 1/2 years faithfully every night, even though I had purchased it about 6 years prior and had used it only a few times. For a week or so, the on/off button has been sticking and/or going off on it's own. I have woken up with the machine off and had to repeatedly push to get the button to stay on. The button was easily removed by me and I did not see anything stuck inside. It just does not sit as high as before. Nothing happened to the machine.
It appears that I need to get a new machine asap. Any suggestions. I'm assuming a new model would be best, just want some names and model numbers if you are happy with your CPAP. Thanks
Need New CPAP Machine, any recommendations!!!

Another vote for S9 Autoset!

If I were looking for a straight APAP, I would look at the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her.
If that could not happen I would look at the S9 Autoset which I was happy with for 3 years until I switched to BIPAP ASV.
Third choice would be the PRS1 560TS with the heated hose and heated humidifier.
I can't think of another choice I would consider paying for.

If you are wanting to stick with the ResMed brand line you might look at the very latest model which came out in mid Aug of this year.
The AirSense 10 AutoSet or the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her.
If paying out of pocket and money is tight you could look around for a new or gently used S9 AutoSet. There's some deals to be had on those models if you know where to look.
I know of a S9 AutoSet with all the accessories, humidifier, climateline heated hose, etc for a little less than $500 shipped.
So I guess it depends on what you want and what you are willing to spend.

Re: Need New CPAP Machine, any recommendations!!!
I cannot comment on the AirSense 10 as I haven't had the opportunity to try this fairly new machine.
But, I can say that the Resmed S9 Autoset has been really good to me. In fact, I bought a second one because I like this machine that much.
On item to keep in mind is that, because Resmed has just introduced their new machine, the AirSense 10 AutoSet, this has caused the purchase prices for the Resmed S9 to drop quite a lot in some markets.
