I was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago with severe sleep apnea. My home provider started me off with a mirage fx. I fought for one week with the constant leaks. I think I actually slept about 2 hours a night ! So then I received an F&P Eson. No more leaks but after 3 nights, my left canine tooth was killing me. I had to take the mask off as it was appearently hitting a nerve. So I went back to sleeping with my "ex". After another week of leaks, I was exhausted and in despair, feeling more tired than before I started treatment...
Yesterday I received the Resmed p10. I slept 9 hours last night !! And I only woke up for short periods 2 or 3 times. This is a major breakthrough.
I also started using a heated hose yesterday. Gone are the days of rain out vs drought. My nose feels pretty comfortable this morning.
I feel so grateful to this community and all of the time that certain members spend answering newbie question. It is all so reassuring. THANKS!
1st nights sleep

Finding the right mask is often the hardest part to this cpap therapy. Glad you found yours in a relatively short period of time. The P10 is a nice little mask. Probably one of the simplest I have ever used and I have tried more than my share of nasal pillow masks. I like to experiment when I can.

I'm not sure how much simpler they could make the p10..Pugsy wrote:Finding the right mask is often the hardest part to this cpap therapy. Glad you found yours in a relatively short period of time.
