Fix for missing data in ResMed/ResScan software

Post by lego » Fri Nov 07, 2014 2:15 pm

This forum has been great in helping me learn about all things cpap, so I want to share this trick for the ResMed software. It appears that the software has difficulty with downloading data multiple times within the same day. When I awoke early this morning I was thrilled to see that I'd had a few hours of sleep and my mask was still in place with no leaks (I'm a newbie at this). I downloaded the SD card and eagerly checked the detailed data for leaks and AHI. Feeling very satisfied, I returned to bed, strapped into the machine and managed to nab a couple more hours of sleep. When I later downloaded this data, the 2nd sleep session was missing from the summary graphs and didn't show in the date browser. Some forum threads here gave some good hints, but didn't solve my problem.

Normal procedure:
ResScan 5.1.0.8731 and download all available data (including detailed) into an existing patient file. When prompted, "discard" duplicate data.

Backup:
Close ResScan, make duplicate or .zip of these folders:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\ResMed
C:\ProgramData\ResMed
your SD card

Fix:
Remove SD card
Reboot computer
Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\ResMed\ResScan3\Patients\(your patient name)
Find the problematic (date).rlk file and rename it to (date).BAK
Find the file Summary.dat and rename it to Summary.BAK
Start ResScan and download as normal

Hope this helps
