The thread title states "Brand New". To me, that implies "never been used".LSAT wrote:Like new...not newslake6 wrote:This unit has only been used about 30 hrs. HAS ENDLESS CAPABILITIES AS I HAD NEURO ISSUES WITH SIGNAL FROM BRAIN TO BREATHE

Person said he/she paid $11,000 but would sell for fraction of that price. And 30 hours sure seems pretty new to me. I'd jump on this if I had a need for such a machine... if pictures, etc. showed what person said to actually be true.

Oh I'm sure the OP's INSURANCE was billed $11,000, but there's no way on God's little acre that they paid that price. Like new/brand new, with 30 hrs I feel like you're splitting hairs, but I'd still want to see actual photographs...

I find those two items "interesting".......and maybe contradictory.slake6 wrote:This unit has only been used about 30 hrs. HAS ENDLESS CAPABILITIES AS I HAD NEURO ISSUES WITH SIGNAL FROM BRAIN TO BREATHE

If you're still alive, why do you no longer "need" it?

It's a really fancy high end machine but it's extremely doubtful that any insurance would pay that price...that's the DME suggested retail price I am sure and not the final amount allowed for that machine and if the insurance was Medicare...they paid a LOT less than that amount.
Near as I can tell the MSRP at the online seller I looked at was around $6,100 which is probably what Respironics says they have to post.
http://www.usa.philips.com/b-dam/b2bhc/ ... Aid_US.pdf
I can't find much on it
http://avaps.respironics.com/
and no time to dig further but from what I can tell it is especially designed to address people with target volume needs...like lung disease...maybe bad COPD.
Next step up from the 960 model I think. If you need this type of machine...you need to be under a doctor's care for sure.
Unsure if it could be dumbed down to make it work like the 960. If it could I might be interested but the offer I could make would be nowhere near what I suspect OP wants for this machine.
My fraction of the cost would very likely be much smaller than his idea of a "fraction of the cost".
A lot smaller fraction.
Nice machine though but not many people (at least here on this forum) really need that high end machine and most wouldn't have enough spare change to buy it out of pocket even if they could use it or needed it.
Besides...I hate it when people won't just state a price they want...even if it's god awful high. At least state something.
It turns me off when people won't at least state price and do the pie in the sky DME inflated price thing.
Anyone buying this stuff is going to be a smart shopper and I don't know about you all but when the only numbers I see are a pie in the sky DME number and not a real online price number...I get turned off...insults me like I am too stupid to know or find out what it is really worth.
To allude that these things go for $11,000 and you can have it for 60% of that which would be $6600....big whoopie...I can buy it on line for less than that because I know that the 6,100 MSRP isn't the actual price...there's always the"call for discounted price" thing and the actual final sales price...well below the MSRP for any Respironics machine.
Cpap.com doesn't carry this model or I would call them up and ask them. Just to burst another pie in the sky bubble.

Alarm bells going off here... FIRST get pictures of the LCD screens and the back panel showing the model # and serial #'; get the seller's contact numbers and only buy using PayPal... also wear a decontamination suit (no wait, that's Ebola). Recently there have been a couple of terribly disastrous bum deals going down for 'nearly new' machines. Proceed with due caution.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Looks like OP (slake6) has been a member here for all of 8hrs. .... not a good track record.
This same machine is listed on craigslist for the last two weeks ... started at $1700 and is now down to $1000 ... wonder if slake6 is the lister or if he will buy it there as soon as he sells it here?

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!
