wisp cpap mask with fabric headgear
wisp cpap mask with fabric headgear
The wisp mask and headgear is a piece of crap. I am allergic to polyester polyurethane foam. I specifically asked about polyester in the mask or headgear but I was told that there wasn't any. Well now I have a rash or burn from mY face from it. Plus the hard plastic in the nose piece wakes me up when I turn over and it hits my nose. Plus the exhalation port blows air back at me instead of away from me. This mask is the worst piece of crap. I am trying to get a different mask so I won't be using my Cpap until the medical equipment provider exchanges the mask.

Wow so sorry you had such a bad experience with using the wisp. All the masks I have tried use the same material for the headpiece and some use it on the face as well. Wisp was the first mask I tried and actually my favorite. I can say one thing in that there is no way for the airport to blow air back on you. It can blow on your blankets out of the port. Maybe it is coming from the sides of the mask and needs to be pulled off and readjusted. I do hope you find a mask that works for you and uses a different material that your not allergic to I am sure others here might know of some.

I hated the fabric front frame to the Wisp, but the Neoprene and Velcro straps around the back of the head
(the headgear) were no problem. Once I changed to the silicone frame, it was a good mask for me.
Pad a Cheek strap liners can help isolate your face from the parts of the frame touching your face,
and parts of the headgear as well. You could use scraps of fleece temporarily to relieve the problem.
