Understanding terms - Flow restriction, Clear Airway

Post by jshuler43 » Wed Sep 10, 2014 11:23 am

Okay, I'm taking the advice to learn how to post my info from SleepyHead, but in the meantime I was curious. It looks like the most "events" I'm having are Flow Restrictions. I'm confused about exactly what that is. It sounded like may RERAs or Hypopneas, but there is a separate label for those two.

Also, Clear Airway. Is that something similar to Central apneas? If so, is it normal on CPAP to have one or two of those a night?

Check out the above for explanations as to the terms you see on your reports.

Yes, Clear Airways...centrals and yes it is normal to have a few of them show up during the night. One or two a night....entirely normal and nothing to worry about.
