Great forum!
I'm new to CPAP machines and have been on it for about 10 weeks (so I still have a way to go before I get use to this thing). My question is: When I go to sleep at night my pressure setting of 10.8 (prescribed) seems quite strong but I have gotten use to it (no ramp required) however when I wake up in the morning there seems to be almost no pressure there. Is it just that I have gotten use to it (overnight) or is my brand new machine possibly faulty?
I apologize if this question has been asked before ... I tried searching first but did not find anything similar.
Thanks!

Re: Pressure seems much weaker upon waking
It's quite common for the body to just grow accustomed to the pressure during the night. We go to bed with the winds but my morning the body/brain perceives those winds as nothing more than a gentle breeze. Nothing is wrong with the machine.
Your body has just got used to things.
Even now after 5 plus years I find the air seems a lot more forceful when starting the night than when finishing the night the next morning.

Thanks Pugsy!
I have always wondered this, but didn't worry about it too much...

You get used to the pressure, I even turn down the cflex relief, just so I get more exercise at night. Jim
