My usually decent doctor did not get around to faxing a prescription to our host so, I could purchase a new face mask (my old mask and old script expired). I had sent in a copy of my order form for reimbursement through my FSA and was feeling a tad guilty about fraud at the point when the hosts pointed out that they could sell me all of the parts for a mask separately for the same cost. Without a script.
Blessings to them!

Re: kudos to our host
I had read about people doing that on eBay. I'd rather deal with our host. Thanks for the info. Earl

PAP Rx's expire? If I had one with an expiration, I'd ask my primary to write me another with no expiration, if that is legal locally.Bons wrote:. . . old script expired . . .!
And either way, won't CPAP.com call the doc to get the new Rx, so the doc doesn't have to remember?
Sorry. Just thinking out loud.

I think they make them for 99 months so the doctor has a chance to pay his greens fees.

CPAP.COM couldn't use my old script because for some reason it did not reference from previous orders. My doctor only writes scripts for one year for some idiotic reason and did not respond to two faxes from CPAP.COM and a phone call from me. Host emailed me a printable version and I hand delivered that in person with a comment or two yesterday.jnk wrote:PAP Rx's expire? Re: kudos to our host
This kind of stuff drives me up the wall. Our doctor is really good but her office staff...... not so much lately. She writes 3 months dated prescriptions (probably the rule here) and at the end of each the pharmacy faxes her for renewals - now between the parents there must be about 20 of them so I have to check if there is 2 weeks of stuff left to request a renewal because other wise it doesn't fail that we run out because the fax wasn't answered. And now she has gone on 3 weeks holiday and this week I spent a long time on the phone with the pharmacist to renew some critical stuff for dad, because the fax didn't get sent at "the other end" which ever that was....Bons wrote: My doctor only writes scripts for one year for some idiotic reason and did not respond to two faxes from CPAP.COM and a phone call from me.
