Swift FX Nasal Pillow Hurts....Tips or alternatives?
I really want this mask to work, but the pressure on the cartilage between my nostrils is waking me up at night. I guess that area is just sensitive on me. The seal seems great, the bulk is as minimal as I've been able to find. I just can't get past the discomfort. I've tried both the large and medium pillows. Are there any hacks or ideas anyone has seen past this? Would the airfit give me any other result? Thanks to anyone that might have thoughts.

Re: Swift FX Nasal Pillow Hurts....Tips or alternatives?
Having that much pain is unusual. The Swift FX when properly fitted and sized should at the most only cause minor discomfort at the nostrils.
My first thought would be are the straps too tight? Especially that top strap because when it's too tight it tends to pull the end of the nose upwards and that's when we get the "piggy nose syndrome".
If you look in the mirror and think "piggy nose" the straps are too tight.
Lansinoh lanoline ointment/cream is what we usually suggest for minor nostril discomfort. Found in the baby aisle of most stores.
Make sure you watch the fitting videos available if you haven't already.
And maybe something in Janknitz hints will help.

The AirFit P10 nasal pillow mask fits similarly to the Swift FX but the straps are universal fitting with no adjusting beyond positioning of the straps to loosen or tighten. I don't know if it will be more comfortable for you or not.
Some people have said that the one size fits all approach on the P10 comes up short for people with bigger heads as they straps are simply too tight but the headgear will stretch out over time.

Also, note that "A properly fit nasal pillow should not really touch the septum." "The only part touching should be . . . your nostrils." The septum is the center wall of your nose. Nor should the air-flow from the pillows be blowing too directly at that wall, producing a discomfort I once noticed when the pillows didn't fit right, often because of over-tightening the straps and distorting the pillows. The blowing air should be flowing more-or-less straight back up your nose. If the pillows are bent they might press on one's septum and/or blow a stream directly against it (both very uncomfortable).

Thanks all. Will check out the guide. Yeah my cartilage on the left side of my septum is for some reason really sensitive and touching it hurts. I'll check out the guide and loosen my strap and see where that gets me.

Does it feel raw or abraded? If so, that is fairly common for new users of nasal pillow systems like the sift fx. If it is raw or rubbed, get the Lansinoh as mentioned above, and use a small amount on your nostril openings.
If it is not "raw", I would guess you have it too tight.

Aloe Vera gel works for me.
Re: Swift FX Nasal Pillow Hurts....Tips or alternatives?
The first week with my P10, I had soreness inside the tip of my nostril. I used Ayer Saline Gel because I didn't know about Lansolin at the time. After about a week the soreness was gone.

Well I checked out the guide and loosened the straps up quite a bit. It seemed much better last night. Picked up some AYR gel this AM and hope to have similar luck tonight.
