Help with encore pro please

Post by idahogal » Sat Aug 05, 2006 1:44 pm

I have encore pro installed on my pc (v. 1.4i rev 4) and I have my smartcard reader installed. I insert my card and get the green light. Then when I try to download my data from the menu (smartcard not direct) I get part of the way throuth the download and get the following error....

Error occured while downloading from smartcard

Error Source:
Error Number: 0

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Susan,

Check in the preferences to see that the Encore Pro is set to use a USB port. I think some of the older versions (like you and I have) defaulted to a serial port connection.
If that's not it, come back and we'll go from there.

What machine are you using? If you are using the "M", I think you have to use the new version of the software. Jim

Your icon in the sig, doesn't come up with your machine.

Rambling thoughts/questions.....

Did you set yourself up as a patient?
You have to double click on the patient name to get to the download selection
When you click on "Download data" and then click on "Smartcard reader", does the light on the cardreader go to green or stay red....or what?

OOPS.......I didn't look at your equipment profile.

You'll need version 1.6 of Encore Pro.

Thanks, you guys are so much help. Ok, I get a green light on my reader until I get the error message and then it turns red.

I am using an "M" series. Does this mean I have to buy a whole new software package in order to get the 1.6 version?

Unless you can find a kind soul to provide. That is one of many things I considered about the new"M". and why I stuck with the old version. The reader will still work, and CPAP.COM has the software alone for $100, I think. Sorry to be the bringer of sad news, it's a bummer for sure. Jim

i'm a kind enough person to provide it as well, but i believe my version is 1.577 or something like that, but when i go to create a prescription for a machine it does have the m series listed. i wonder if it would work?
