My Bi-Pap broke and no Insurance. What are my options?

Fishoil, I think it would be a good idea to go into your clinician menu and record your settings. You will need to know them to transfer to a new machine, or possibly reset this one after repair. Just for the heck of it, what part of the world do you live in? I'll bet there is something not too far away that might be affordable.

Here's a website that will help people who are in need of cpap/bipap machines. Some hoops to jump through but if someone really wants/needs a machine then they should be willing to do some hoop jumping.

Yeah I was messing around with it earlier looking at my settings, but I can't find anything too "adjustable" other than the "Biflex" setting and the Ramp setting.

So there must be another menu I haven't accessed yet or something

I made the offer and I don't scam people. Never have and never will.
It's my PR S1 760 with humidifier but without the heated hose conversion kit upgrade. I was saving it for backup/travel but it might as well be used by someone. Not sure about the hours as it has been a while since I fired it up and looked. Not horribly high though....about a years worth of use if I remember right.

Edit: around 1290 hours but will have a few more once I let it run and air out a bit.
Humidifier is brand spanking new. I have another 60 series machine but I only used 1 humidifier.
Gotta get the cat hairs off the travel case though... everyone knows about my evil alien cats.

If I have a new hose I will include a new hose but I don't think I have one at the moment...just a much used white performance hose. Since I have been using the Resmed and heated hose haven't needed to get any spare regular hoses.

I have been on this forum for years. Pugsy is a great person. Look at her many posts helping folks. If she wanted to scam people while using her knowledge, she would have already opened a DME.

I'd say that's a *very* good price for that machine, at those hours. I think you're cheating yourself because of your generosity.

I quoted the price thinking it had more than twice that number of hours. That's what I get for not checking first but I stand by my original quoted price.

I would try the charity cpap places or possibly the repair shops, although I would hazard the repair alone will cost more than $200. If that is really too much then possibly an old machine on craigslist, which could cause its own problems. Alternately if you really cant afford the $200, then you should consider getting an obamacare plan or state Medicaid plan and let them take care of a replacement machine.

you could probably pick up a cheap craigslist machine and swap in the blower.

but if the OP hasn't called accurate for a repair quote yet, one has to wonder WHY NOT?
