Have you not ever had a cat? They wait til they're inside on your new carpets to barf it up! They wait til 3 a.m., stand right outside your bedroom and barf and if you don't take care of it then, you step in it in the a.m! And it's slimy!

But... they're still worth it on their worst days... at least mine is.

oh, yes, I'm well aware of the joys of kitty gifts.

when I was growing up, my grandparents had a herd of outside cats, we lived in the country, and there were 10 or 15 cats that my grandmother would feed just enough to keep 'em in the neighborhood, but not enough to keep them all happy and well fed... as a result, we had a lot less scorpions, snakes and rodents than people up the street did *lol*.

then, my mother turned into the crazy cat lady down the road with far too many cats inside... as the years went on, she got worse.

YES! And if you have ANY hardwood, tiled or easy to clean floors, they make sure they go right past those until they can get to a rug, carpet or other soft furnishing.

The other delight is waking up in the middle of the night wondering what the cat is doing on the duvet and finding out he's bought a friend in as you have a mouse running toward your face!

YES! Oh what a lovely cat tho!

I need to send in my cat to that list - my cats worst crime is , I'm embarrassed to say..... poo paws! He has always struggled using the toilet since he was a kitten, and even though he's now well over 1 stone in weight, he will at times come in with lets just call it "brown paw".

We even made up a song about it! ha ha ha

It's funny what cats will or won't eat. I had brother and sister cats who loved cucumbers and lettuce. The two cats I have now look at me like I have to be kidding if I offer those for a treat.

I had a cat years ago that loved tomato sauce. I had a friend over and we were eating pizza. My boy actually took his paw and clawed a piece of pizza off her fork and threw it on the ground to lick it. I was so embarrassed! My friend was like "Damn, that cat is fast!!" From then on, we cut a small piece for him to keep him from stealing it from anyone!

Another cat I had loved guacamole. Weirdest thing I've ever seen.

I have a cat now that loves peach & strawberry yogurt. He's got a super sensitive stomach (pukes all the damn time, must to my husband's dismay) so we don't give him much if any. Last night, my husband was eating strawberry licorice and this dumb cat tried to take it from him! Silly boy.

We caught one of my cats on the table right after dinner, prior to clearing the dishes, eating my cooked broccoli. Just chomping away like it was something he did everyday. He also has an obsession with string cheese, though he has never actually eaten any. As soon as I get one out of the fridge he is right at my feet and follows me. He tries to steal my cheese from my hand and even will try to steal the wrapper and run off with it.

The best is having to get up at 3am to wash your bedding and the floor because kitty has decided to reenact the scene from The Exorcist and vomits all over the bed AND the floor at the same time. I wouldn't trade him for the world though. I love my furbabies.

I had a cat once who liked to steal cantaloupe from the box turtle I had at the time.

Also, I once woke up in the night with a cat trampling me only to discover that she was having kittens on my legs! I had no idea she was even pregnant.

And then there was the time my husband and I pulled back the covers to reveal...a mouse head that the cats left us. The Godkitty had struck again...

Some cats have an affinity to silk, cashmere, or any fabric that is costly and quickly destroyed by stomach acid.
Luxury fibers are comforting when a creature is feeling ill.

I guess the rest of us poor slobs with no money will have to put up with burlap and sack cloth (whatever that really is).

Just found this -

Safe (for cats of course)
Non meat foods should always be served in small portions.
Canned fish like tuna (small portions only)
Cheese (small portions only)
Steamed Broccoli (if you see your cat chomping on plants, offer some steamed broccoli)
Cooked eggs
Lean deli meats
Melon (small portions only)
Spinach (small portions only)
Peas (frozen peas make a great snack but small portions only)
Beef
Bananas (frozen banana makes a great treat, small portions only)
Canned baby food (great for cats with health problems) ow if you have a kitty who likes to steal food off your plate, here are the foods you will want to protect your kitties from eating.

Unsafe
Human-grade Sushi (can cause gastrointestinal upset)
Onions and Chives (even trace amounts can damage red blood cells)
Uncooked Egg (could expose them to salmonella)
Bones (can cause choking)
Fat trimmings (can lead to gastrointestinal upset and even pancreatitis)
Caffeine (can cause increased heart rate and agitation)
