SleepyHead and ResScan Reporting Differently

Post by psweath » Thu Mar 19, 2015 4:05 pm

I'm using SleepyHead v0.9.6 and ResScan 5.1.0.8731.

For the approx. last 6 months period from 9/16/2014 to 3/18/2015 (my first 6 months of CPAP):

SleepyHead reports average AHI = .94 (Obstructive = .36, Hypopnea = .16, Clear Airway = .41),

while ResScan reports average AHI = .6 (Obstructive = .1, Hypopnea = .1, Central = .3).

Why the diff? Is ResScan perhaps including Used Days < 4 hrs? Or even Days not used?

Thank you!
Pete

Welcome to the forum.
The most current version of Sleepyhead is 0.9.8.1-testing and ResScan is 5.3. Several posts, both on this forum and another, indicate that there seems to be an error in ResScan. I don't know if the newer version has addressed this issue. I do know that every poster has been able to substantiate the numbers that Sleepyhead reports which wasn't the case in ResScan.

Take Care!

Just an FYI - I updated both packages to the latest. ResScan shows the exact same results for that 6-month period as before. However, now SleepyHead reports a little differently. See below:

Before software upgrades:
SleepyHead reports average AHI = .94 (Obstructive = .36, Hypopnea = .16, Clear Airway = .41),
while ResScan reports average AHI = .6 (Obstructive = .1, Hypopnea = .1, Central = .3)

After software upgrades:
SleepyHead reports average AHI = 1.05 (Obstructive = .43, Hypopnea = .20, Clear Airway = .40),
while ResScan STILL reports average AHI = .6 (Obstructive = .1, Hypopnea = .1, Central = .3)

Consensus seems to be that SleepyHead is most accurate, so I will go with that!

Thanks for the help,
Pete
