sleepyhead and new autosense 10 problems

picked up new machine yesterday and used last night- [ have been usung sleepyhead for years with pr1]

opened new profile-- go to e drive to import-- error message immediately- shuts down sleepyhead??

what do you think I should try?

What version of SleepyHead?
Which version of Windows, Mac OS or Linux?

The problem is most likely what palerider said...the SleepyHead version that you are using.
The only version that will work with the new AirSense machines is the 0.9.8-1 version...the latest version no matter if you are using the Windows version or the Mac version.
So confirm exactly which version you are using and if not the latest...go get the latest as it will work.
If you are already using the latest version then we have a problem but confirm version first.
The latest version is totally separate from the prior versions so don't be mislead if you do the "check for updates" thing on an older version because it will lie to you.

after some [ no doubt dumb on my part ] screwing around with download- [ had to download zip to open it]
it worked-- imported the one night and showed up fine-

after I closed it I cant find it again- old version sleepyhead put icon on desktop- this one didn't-- so I will go looking or download again

I think Pugsy mentioned about pinning or?? but I am fairly dense in this area

anyhow- it downloaded- unzipped - and imported from sd card- .39 AHI-- pretty fair for new machine and new mask- the skinny little airfit-- it worked well

This latest version doesn't have an installer so it won't put the little sheep icon on the desktop for you. You have to create your own shortcut.

Go into the download folder and find the unzipped new version of SleepyHead and open the main folder then scroll down to the bottom of the list of files till you see the application.exe file that you used to launch/open SleepyHead..it's either the broken GL or the open GL file...right click your mouse on one of those and choose to either create a shortcut to your desktop or pin it to where you can get to it easily. I chose "pin to taskbar" for mine so it's always available in the taskbar.

it is hard to be a computer illiterate-- sigh

header "Sleepyhead- broken GLexe " now it says program cant start because Qt5Core.dll is missing- try reinstalling the program to fix problem

so I am going to start over again and this time "pin" when it is open

That message is usually seen when someone is trying to open SleepyHead from within the zipped folder.

I don't know where you put SleepyHead when you unzipped it but mine goes into the download folder by default but you may have put it somewhere else. I always just leave the unzipped files in my download folder so I always know where they are at and are easy to find.
