Well, since I had some flex spending money I had to use real quick because of a job change, I broke down and purchase the new Remstar Auto. The first thing I did based on suggestions here was set the pressures to 3cm above and below my current pressure of 15.
First night last night, and the first thing I noticed was how quiet this machine was compaired to the Pro that I have had for the last month. I could hear the Pro when it was on and could hear the cflex kick in each time I exhaled.
On the Auto, if I did not feel the air in the mask, I would not even have known the machine was on. It was extremely quiet.
I had great AHI numbers of less then 2.0 for the first night, and pressures running from 12.0 to 16.4. I was amazed at the amount of data compaired to the Pro as well.
Only one night so far, but it will be nice to see where this settles for its 90% pressure and see where we go from there.
Just Got New Remstar M Series Auto
I just got mine July 24 and I think it is a great unit. I am still looking at the data to determine best overall settings. I have download My Encore but there are a few charts do not show up but there is data in the Encore Pro. I will put out a posting to see it anyone else has the same problem.
AHI under 4 last 12 months. Orginally 40 events per hour.
Communilink - I've had mine for 11 days now, tonight will be night #12. I do hear mine - the up and down speed changes of the fan, but it certainly isn't loud enough to bother me that much. And if I start to dwell on it for any reason I find that putting it into ramp mode makes it pretty much silent until I am well asleep. Does need a backlit screen though . --- BT

I have had precisely the same experience - I don't know if it's a problem, though - it may be that the new version of Encore Pro doesn't record this information.
