Understanding the resScan report

Post by ejvette » Tue Feb 10, 2015 4:51 am

I have been trying to understand the pressure stats on the resScan report

I have the max pressure set to 11.4 the report says:

Median 9.4 95th percentile 11.2. Maximum 11.4

Is the median the average pressure it runs at ? what is the 95th percentile?

Thanks
Ed

Median is the value that is in the middle of all the data after it has been sorted by size. The Percentile is stating that 95% of all the data will fall under this value.

Example:
Data as collected:
1. 94
2. 99
3. 92
4. 93
5. 98

Sorted:
1. 92
2. 93
3. 94
4. 98
5. 99

95.2 Average (476/5)
94 = Median
98.5 = 95 Percentile

I hope this helps.
