For the most part, I do not use the ramp feature. When my machine has gone into leaf blower mode and wakes me up, I just turn it off and back on again.

Otherwise... I don't use the ramp feature to get to sleep because my usual starting pressure does not bother me. A problem I found with the ramp feature is that a mask nicely fitted at the ramp starting pressure can give large leaks when the machine gets up to it's normal set pressure. And that wakes me up. (We're trying to get better sleep, right?

Started PAP therapy December 1st, 2014. Turned Ramp off after a two weeks.

I rented a Respironics APAP for 5 weeks before deciding to purchase a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset.

I must admit to missing the "hit" of the Respironics. It became part of my bed time routine. Press the button, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, bam! Yeah, this machine means business!

With the Resmed, I feel like I'm a bicycle tyre being pumped up
