Trying to locate a reasonably priced S9 AutoSet

Post by mthespian » Thu Feb 05, 2015 9:07 pm

I was looking at several a few weeks ago on various area craigslist locations -- but they seem to have dried up everywhere!

Any other suggestions where a guy could go to pickup a non-outrageous S9 AutoSet? I travel a fair amount for work so I'm looking for one to leave prepped and packed while using my existing AutoSet at home.

If you use http://www.searchtempest.com, you can do a wide search for the Resmed S9 Autoset. I don't know where you are, or what you consider reasonable, so I'll let you do the search, but I got lots of results.

If you're not in a hurry, keep watching craigslist. I usually see an S9 at around $300 in the local area every few months. Plus a lot of ridiculously overpriced old bricks.

I always laugh when I see a legacy Remstar Plus with 19000 hours on it for $600...but hey, they throw in their old mask for free!!!

But it's "the latest, top of the line model." And it's been thoroughly sterilized, inside and out.

This seller has new and used models S9s and new S10s. Has Autosets.

http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/hab/4843616638.html

Ask them about volume discount offered. If it's a good enough deal, I'll join you to get the volume discount. I can get there and pick them up, or maybe seller will ship to you direct.

FWIW, I've dealt with grayghost4 on a couple machines. His prices are VERY good, and what he has told me about the units has been 100% accurate. I wouldn't hesitate to go through him again, if I didn't think he would chalk me up to some nincompoop hoarder type.
Personally, I guess I'd rather go through someone on this forum who has been dealt with before, as opposed to craigslist. NOT saying craigslist isn't a good place for a deal, but to someone like me, the security is worth it.
Good luck finding what you want at a good price, wherever you go.

I just had surgery to cure my OSA. I have an S9 autoset with h5i humidifier in excellent condition, if you want it, it's yours for $300. I'll ship it to you with all the bits and pieces... Spare hose, 2 climate line heated hoses, humidifier, travel bag, all leads and manuals, standard hose, new filters with spares, extra water tub for the humidifier, and anything else I can find which I bought with it. Pm me if interested. Only drawback is I am in Singapore, payment will have to be by PayPal (you'll gave the PayPal guarantee etc) and I'll ship it with a tracking number.

I am just curious... (as a former resident of Singapore)
Why do you need the heated hose in Singapore? Nowadays when I travelled there, I keep my humidifier home

You might want to hang onto that machine. A lot of the surgeries don't last very long. You may need it again.
