Modem on my new machine.

Post by Hurricane » Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:24 am

Just received a Respironics pr system one Bipap auto sv advanced bi level. My question is that it has a modem installed in the sd card area, and was told that they could make changes thru the modem' also check for compliance, just how does this modem communicate with their office. It is so great that one can post a question on this forum, and most times get help, happy, happy to be a member of this forum.

The machine still has a card slot behind the modem ... and should have a card in it. If not any 2 GB or larger sd card will work.
You have to remove the modem to get to the card .... and you can use Sleepyheads to monitor your therapy.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

The morning after your first use, you press the button on the side, and hold til the screen shows that its connecting. After that, you may not ever need to reset the modem, but if you do, the machine will reset to whatever "prescribed settings" are. This sucks if you've tweaked pressures for your own comfort. Supposedly its automatic. So long as the unit gets a decent cellular signal, it will transmit. This happens at the same time each day, whatever time you last did a modem reset, so if you regularly unplug the machine, keep in mind it needs to have power to work.
