Second night and feeling lucky!
Second night and feeling lucky!
Last night was my second night on cpap treatment. It took me awhile to actually fall asleep, and there could have been several reasons for that, but once I fell asleep, it went pretty well. I know a lot of people don't care for the "myAir" program, but it gave me a sleep score of 96/100 this morning, scoring "perfect" in every category except mask removal which was from having to use the bathroom during the night. So far, I have been pleasantly surprised at how well things are going, especially after reading about so many have adjustment difficulties. Of course, I have my fingers crossed and I'm knocking on wood as we speak! I have to give most of the credit to the RT with my DME because she spent a lot of time with me explaining my machine and trying many different masks. I had no leaks and only slight marks on my cheeks from the straps, but I think that is because I am a side sleeper - not from the mask being too tight. Lots of thanks to everyone on this forum whose experience and advice prompted much research on my part prior to receiving my equipment. If it weren't for you all, I would have been totally uneducated and most likely not so lucky!!

You got a very nice setup with the Airsense 10 for Her and Airfit N10 for her mask. As long as you don't breath through the mouth that should work great. Not unusual to be a bit restless the first night or take some time to fall asleep. sounds like a great start.

Re: Second night and feeling lucky!
Well, I thought I was a mouth breather, but now that my body's not struggling to breathe, I'm able to sleep with my mouth closed. So far, so good. I did download the sleepyhead software, but I'm a little bit afraid to take my SD card out of my machine. There was some type of warning on the software about being careful not to erase the data on the card. And with my luck...

Just rember to wright protect the card ( by sliding the little tab to the protect mode) and rember to unprotect it when putting it back into the cpap.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!
