So the Zeo mobile won't work? That's the only unit for sale on eBay Do these function without the web service to go with them? I have no objective way of monitoring my treatment at home.

In particular, I'd like to see if there's any improvement from using a MAD. I need jaw surgery anyway for functional reasons and I figure why not cure the sleep apnea while I'm at it. My surgeon suggested trying a MAD in a sleep study to see what impact it has. A good idea but I don't see myself going through the surgery and not expanding my airway so I'm skipping the formal sleep study but figured a smoke test at home would be good, except I can't get clean data about my sleep quality. The overnight oximeter hasn't been useful. If I can't find another data point, then my next experiment will be to dial down the pressure on my machine to 4cm and hope that it starts picking up apneas. After that, I could use Afrin for a few nights and order the Contec unit with a nose flow monitor I suppose. I don't have anything else.

Is there really no OTC device for measuring breathing with a band around my chest? Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to build. What do we know about these bedside sensors? Is that something I could rig up quickly at home and if so what parts would I need?
