auto machine

Post by christie_m » Fri Jan 02, 2015 1:58 pm

If anyone remembers I'm helping a friend who had a home sleep study but couldn't have the titration study done. So I need to find him an auto machine..I'm unsure what brand and model are the auto kind..I will look on craigslist but any help with models would be great

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

pfft, I just sold my 560, why would I buy another one?

the only thing I'm in the market for is a 36037 as a backup for a friend.

Search craigslist in your local area and nearby cities for a fully data capable machine. Be prepared to see a lot of people wanting WAY too much for old junk. You may have to wait a while to find a good deal.

Check the links in my signature line for the models that have good data.

You can also do it with a fully data capable manual CPAP by starting low and going up until you fix your apnea.

I've looked all over the country, because I've asked if any seller would sell if I paid for shipping.
he tried a self set one and had no luck. he sleep study showed mild apnea yet high oxygen desaturations. but he lost his insurance before he could have the titration study done and get a cpap. he is a new widower, my niece was his wife and she and his mom were killed in a car accident. so I've tried to help to get his sleep issues taken care as he has small kids who need him.

In the meantime, at what pressure is the fixed CPAP set? Is he feeling any relief?

I have trouble setting it. Its been too high or low..so a auto would be best..then he will know its what he needs. And figure a mask that works..he was worried that the full mask would give too much carbon dioxide.
