? about size of RemStar heated humidifier/heated hose
? about size of RemStar heated humidifier/heated hose
This is an odd question, if anyone with experience here might answer..... I currently have the system one remstar auto (560). As a new CPAP user, I started out in August with the straight CPAP and my doctor switched me to auto, causing DME to give me new equipment. I mistakenly thought I could order a heated hose and it would plug right into what I'm using, but it doesn't, and DME actually offered to swap out my humidifer for one that would accommodate the heated hose they supplied to me which does not fit.
I have my unit in a drawer next to my bed, so I can leave the drawer open an inch at night for the hose to run in, but in the daytime I can close it all up and you don't see any CPAP equipment at all. I would prefer not to have it sitting out on the nightstand like it was the first couple months. If I swap out the humidifier, is the unit with the heated hose any TALLER than the unit that uses the standard/traditional hose? I currently can just barely slide my index finger in above the hose assembly, and would hate to have to have it sitting out again, if the heated hose makes things "too tall" to fit inside the drawer.
Sorry for being "the princess and the pea" but I really like my discrete setup.

Same unit, different lid for heated hose. Also works with original basic hose. So...same size.

Right, different lid. Perfectly put. When I look at photos of the heated tube humidifier online, it looks like the hose attachment is taller. There is an extra plastic part that seems to stick up, assumingly where the electronics plug in. You're saying they are really the exact same height though?

Your comfort is more important than whether it will fit in a silly drawer.
Sit a boudoir doll on top of it during the day.

Wow, Palerider.... that puts me in mind of the cover of an L. Ron Hubbard book!

I'm on travel right now or I could measure. I think the heated hose humidifier lid is perhaps a quarter of an inch higher.

I would +1 this if I was sure what a boudoir doll was.you could always shave out a little of 5th underside of the tabletop so it fits better, if it causes problems. Humidifiers with heated hose are GOOD.chunkyfrog wrote:Your comfort is more important than whether it will fit in a silly drawer.

Pr, the machine in question is a PRS1. ..But cool skin.

Back in the fifties, these dolls were everywhere!
Take the legs off and the skirt could be big enough to hide a spare roll of TP, a toaster, or even a typewriter.
Ladies would crochet matching skirts and hats--my grandmother had several.
My mother-in-law dressed hers in elaborate folk costumes. Holidays are for nostalgia.
