Comfortlite 2 alternatives?

Post by Jaybo » Mon Dec 01, 2014 4:49 pm

I have the comfortlite 2 that I love, using it with the over the nose pillow. It works pretty well and I only lose it maybe 1 or 2 nights out of 30. The favorite part is the over the head hose arrangement. It stays out of my way, and doesn't interfere when I move my arm or move to my side and back. The minimal straps are also a great feature and I don't feel overwhelmed with gear on my head. The adjustability is pretty nice too both up and down and forward and back. No idea why they would want to stop making this mask! Anyway, parts are looking far and few between so I know I will likely need to get something new at some point.

Who has some suggestions or who has actually used these and moved on to something they like just as much?

Thanks!

..Jay

I would look at the P10...

never used that one .. but I like the resmed swift FX
ask ten people and you will get ten different answers

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

yeah except the swift and the P10 are bottom hose mounts. I want something going over my head and out of my way. That's why I stopped using Cpap when I was first diagnosed a few years back. Once I knew I had to do something the CL2 was suggested and the one that worked for me.

Lots of people use the P10 over head - no swivel but nice long light tube. I do occasionally but I'm usually a hose hugger.

I also use the P10 routed over my head with no special routing or attachments. I have done it the same way with all my masks...hose comes around the top of the bed pillow and laying on the mattress and then downward to my nose...I usually start the night on my left side with my back to my machine. Been doing it the same way for over 5 years now.

I guess I like having the hose going straight up over my head. A certain person here sent me a box of goodies that included the Aclaim mask and it made me realize how I hate stuff on my cheeks as well. That same special someone also sent me a bunch of replacement parts for my Comfortlite2 mask so I'm hoping to keep it going for a long time in the future until something like it comes along. I'm really surprised it was not more well liked and that it was discontinued. Anyway, Thanks for the feedback, and thanks to Pugsy for hooking me up!
