SleepyHead "Summary Only :("

I have a ResMed S9 VPAP Auto and each morning I take out the card and import the data to my PC. This has worked every morning, for the last few months, until this morning. When I imported the data, as I usually do, I get a screen that says "Summary Only ".

What are the potential problems I might be facing? I did a search and didn't find anything directly related to my specific issue...

are you sure the card was inserted properly last night?

if there's no data files on the card with todays date, then there's nothing you can do.

There are three files with last nights date, it always shows the date the night started on for me...

And there is some date on SH, just nothing in the graph area. The AHI is shown on the left pane, as well as the pie chart:

look in the card, in the DATALOG directory, for 20141201*.edf files.

there should be several, like:

iI don't remember what they all are, I think BRP files are the high rate data....

if those files weren't written to the card, then there's no way to get them.

Do you have ResScan to check it with to see if it is maybe just SleepyHead having a problem with the files or if ResScan also only gives summary data?

I have had detailed data graphs go missing even in ResScan only to show up 2 or 3 days later...no explanation for that little miracle because it goes against all logic.

On a couple of occasions I have had SleepyHead not show the S9 detailed data but ResScan did...and also the other way around...again that goes against logic but it has happened.

Not long ago I went a week without downloading and the SD card was in the S9....but all I got was summary data in both SleepyHead and ResScan which means that for some reason the SD card was not seated properly. I never look at the LCD screen when I start my machine so I don't know if there were any messages showing or not.

Bottom line is if the detailed data isn't showing in SH and isn't showing in ResScan either the most likely culprit is that the SD card wasn't seated quite right. There is the remote chance that the machine is messed up in terms of writing to the SD card but you need multiple nights with no detailed graphs showing in ResScan....also the remote chance that the SD card has become damaged.

About all you can do is make absolutely sure that the S9 recognizes the SD card tonight and see what happens tomorrow with tonight's data.
Maybe the SD card got bumped somehow and just slid out of the slot a tiny bit (that's what must have happened to me a week or so ago and I didn't catch it before a week was up since I didn't download daily).
If no detailed data tomorrow for tonight then start doing more trouble shooting to see what the problem might be.

I never look at the LCD screen when I start my machine so I don't know if there were any messages showing or not..

I'm glad I'm not the only one... the machine isn't "handy", so I just leave it on auto all the time... only time I usually touch it is to pull the card, or check the filters

I figured out what my problem was...

The darn media reader was failing and the import would time out before all of the larger files transferred. So, without those it didn't have all the required data to display.

Hi all, i'm new in here. Have just started using Resmed S9 Autoset for 3 weeks now. Had the same problem as mentioned by TS when importing to my Macbook. It's only showing the summary but not the daily.

My initially thoughts was that the SD card is causing this but that wasn't the case as i was able to see it when i tried it on a PC.

AEmedic, when you said you figured out what the problem, did you found a fix for it? Thanks in advance!

I figured out what my problem was...

In my case, I bought another media card reader. I found a decent one on Amazon and everything works fine. It even imported the files that had failed to import completely with the bad reader.

I tired it again with the SD card unlocked and found that for some reason that locking it had caused this. I hope that having it unlock won't cause any problems. For now, all is good.
