Transfering patient data to new computer Encore Basic 2.2?

Post by billbled » Sat Nov 29, 2014 1:49 pm

Hi all,
I'm building a new computer - got Encore Basic (v2.2) loaded, but don't have my history from the old computer. I've still got access to the old computer just fine - but how do I transfer my own history (6+ months) from it to the new computer? Where does Encore keep it's history files?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

IMO, not an easy task to get everything backed up, but you have choices as to what level of backup you would prefer. Here's what various techie-type members came up with when I asked that same question half a year ago (Note: I use Encore Pro, but it should be about the same procedure for Encore Basic 2.2):

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Hi,
Thanks very much for the reply, but Encore Basic doesn't use SQL Server - so the thread you referenced doesn't really apply to the Basic version - just the Pro version.

But I did finally find it.

You have to turn off the "Hide Protected Operating System Files" option, as well as the "Don't show hidden files, folders or drives" option. You have to see the stuff they don't want you to see. This is under "Organize" then "Folder and Search Options" then under the "View" tab you can set these options.
Then navigate to "Your Drive"/Users/Your User Name/AppData/Local/Respironics/EncoreBasic/Data/ and you've got it. Copy the contents of the Data folder from your old installation over to the new one and it'll work. Mine was about 9 months of data and took up 23 MB - USB flash drive is a good way to go to transfer it.

I just did this and it worked for me. Hope this helps someone else.
Cheers,
Bill
