I'm Outa Here

Post by Guest » Fri Jul 21, 2006 1:22 pm

So Long, Farewell, it's been terrific; it's been frustrating!

1. I ask questions within a thread and am ignored.

2. I ask for verification of information and am ignored.

Are they that difficult?

3. The 'Guest Poll' did not ask for remarks, but certainly received quite a few. I've changed my mind about Guest Posting now, since I see the main advantage to it.

Observations: ...........(oops....retracted)...........doesn't matter

I won't be 'watching' this post, so have fun among yourselves, where it applies.

Gee,

I asked two honest questions as a guest and the people here answered politely and gave me great info, so much so that I registered after a little while once my need for anonymity was over (huge local issue).

Boy your loosing out, I feel sorry for you.

How do we know, He's "Out of Here"? He could be lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce on some unsupecting thread. You can't see him or smell him or track him. He may have just, popped out to the library, to gather some mis-information, to liven up a debate into a frenzy. Don't let down your guard! Jim

You know what they say about how guests are like fish:

Jim, are you spending too much time in your cave?

Perhaps we should move this post into the thread/poll on if guests should be allowed to post?

My money is on that this "guest" really does read this thread.

I posted as a newbie and got a few reponses very quickly. Did everyone rush to respond? Of course not. Some people overrate their importance.

I figure if I ask a question that gets missed (as new posts come quickly on this board) I can always ask again. Oh, and saying "Please" doesn't hurt.

What a waste of time, forum goodwill and resources.

Participation in this forum is about learning, sharing of mutual experiences and challenges and paying it forward.

We will all continue to do that. That is our nature in a forum community.

For me the guest thing has NOT been a big issue. I have been flamed, etc. but my time is too valuable as is most of yours notto give this too much energy.

There are so many other, legitimate guests who need and deserve our attention and encouragement.

In a public forum, there will always be malcontents and mental midgets.
