DME Question

Post by ohbrian » Fri Oct 17, 2014 12:24 pm

I've been on therapy now for about 3 weeks and it has been going very well. Got used to the mask (P10) and AHI is under 1.00 every night. I traded in my N10 because it caused me pain, and when I received the P10 the RT just gave me the Medium sized pillows and kept the other 2. Is this normal that they part out everything? I kind of wanted to experiment with the small and large pillows and see if they fit me any better. Looking for some input to be informed when I call them because I'm afraid they will tell me I have to pay for them or something...weren't they supposed to come with the mask?

Thanks,

BB

Unfortunately, "yes" and "yes". If you buy them from online sellers like CPAP.COM you'll get all the pillows (because that's the way they come).
But, you COULD try to be assertive and DEMAND that you get all the sizes. Basically, you're getting "screwed".

Yes they were. But if they gave them to you how could they sell them to someone else to increase their profit margins.

what they OUGHT to do is figure out which size fits you best, and then give you three of them

but they don't.

plus, some people need to try different pillows to find the right size, and the first one they try isn't best for them.

go back and make a stink.

When I purchased my P10 a few weeks ago I was ready......." I want it in the sealed package so I can try all the sizes". The RT was not a happy camper. It didn't take long during our first encounter to see that she only speaks 'text book', but that's another chapter in the ongoing saga.
