Modem on my S9 says no network.

Post by sweets73 » Wed Oct 08, 2014 9:10 am

Have been on Cpap for one week. Had to go to Apria for new mask and was told they have received no SD data per modem. Says someone will call me. No call yet????

It's all typical of Apria... if you have any choice of going elsewhere, take it!

I've been using my new S9 Autoset from Apria for 3 weeks now. Wireless module has always indicated "No Network" since the 1rst day. I removed the module, since the No Network messages were constantly over the data info. Have not received any calls from Apria either.

I'm not sure because I've never had a modem, but if you removed the modem, can you now put an SD card in your cpap to record your sleep data? It is really useful to be able to look at your sleep data and see how your therapy is doing. But maybe you can have both a modem and an SD card? So you might already have an SD card.

Anyways, if you don't have an SD card in your machine, you can just go get a 2GB (or so) one at one of those pharmacy/variety stores, or an office supply store. Or BestBuy, or Fry's or Amazon, etc. *smile*. You don't have to worry about formatting it, just put the SD card into the back of your cpap (the slot for it is on the same side of the back as the big round "on/off" button), and the cpap will start using it.

Check with your insurance on whether they need the data, and if they are paying for the modem.
Apria will try to send stuff home with you and then stick you for the bill if your insurance doesn't cover it.
If they have your credit card number, they may already have taken the money.

I had a modem on my resmed 9 autoset. In my opinion all the modem is for is compliance. Since I am not new i did not see the need to PROVE compliance. I sent it back and just use the SD card. BTW you can use both at the same time.

No network means either: the dme didn't add your modem to the software, therefore activating the modem or you live in a no coverage zone.
