Looking for Good Used Oximeter

Post by jeepdoctor » Mon Jul 17, 2006 1:56 pm

I am looking for a good used BCI pulse oximeter with memory function. My choice at this point is a BCI 3303. Anyone have any leads I can pursue? I would also like comments and pointers on oximeters with memory function, interfacing to PC's, printing overnight data, etc.

Hi jeepdoc

Best suggestion I can make is have a go at searching the threads using the search function & using oximeter as the search arg.

There have been quite a few excellent threads on oximeters. Hopefully some of the longer ones will cover your areas of interest.

Good luck

Ebay seems to be the auction site of choice for pulse ox equipment.

Just curious, why the BCI? There are alot more of the Nellcors available and they have memory as well.

The best interface SW I've seen is Profox http://www.profox.com, expensive, but you might try contacting them to see if they have a single patient license or something like that. It works with lots of oximeters too.

Response to sleepy in AL and snork1. I read an basic primer on oximeters. It only mentioned BCI and Nonin. I didn't know about Nellcor. Now I do. This is another example of how this forum helps us in our learning curve. Thank-you, thank-you for your responses.
