My wife thinks my CPAP is the best invention ever, and she now gets nearly a full nights sleep each night as I no longer snore and wake up every hour and disturb her.
However the one annoyance that we are finding in bed is that if I am on my back, stomach or on my right hand side it is fine. However occassionally I roll to my left, and my wife gets a blast of air straight into her face. This rouses her, she get the old snoring reflex and kicks me, I roll over again.
I was just wondering if anyone has found a solution to this? Even from a full meter away the jet is quite impressive, and I am only on 8cm! Probably there is no solution, but I was thinking maybe a fine cloth stuck on there or something may diffuse the flow without impeding it maybe? Or should I just take the vastly better sleep we have and accept the minor irritations left? I would like to make life as good as possible for my wife though if possible.

Not "rolling to your left" seems like the simplest solution.

Do a forum search for as many variables ('diverter' 'cold air' etc.) as you can think of because it's been discussed before... a couple of people years ago made some kind of diverter for their machines that moved the stream upward (or somewhere else), and depending on how creative you are... maybe you could do something similar, or maybe have a small pillow between you, or ???

Maybe a small plastic funnel would work if you get creative... cut the narrow end to fit, fasten it on somehow....

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.
Re: Diffusing the FFM jet stream...
the piliaro q mask comes with a little mesh diffuser pad and plastic holder that you can snap over the exhaust holes.
it's much like the material in the white filters that go in the backof the machine.
maybe you could rig something like that up over the holes to diffuse the stream, just make sure it doesn't block them, just diffuses the air.

Perhaps a small rod attached to the headboard or the wall behind your bed, from which you could suspend a piece of cloth to act as a curtain? Maybe made of plastic so it's see-through?
