...is it necessary to see your sleep specialist again? I do plan to schedule a followup appointment with my sleep specialist, but I'm wondering if it's really necessary. I've been using a BiPap for about three months now, maybe a little less, and it seems to be going great. I actually got a call (voice message because I wasn't able to answer) from my insurance company letting me know they had looked at the data from my machine and the therapy looked like it was going fine. I fell tons better than I did before therapy - a world of difference.
I'm going to first schedule an appt with my MPC because it was him who said I needed to see a sleep specialist (and I need to follow up on a few other issues), so I can ask him this as well, but I'm wondering from people here who have been successful with therapy for a while now, what's the reason to see your sleep doctor if all seems well? I suppose one thing is that he might lower the pressure on the unit, which I wouldn't mind - it seems excessive (21). So that's one reason

If you feel well and are tracking with software, I can't see why you'd need to bother... I haven't seen anyone at all in 10 yrs!

My doctor wants a six month review after my 30 day. Bet I get to see a PA instead though. Again (3 visits to date, only one with Doc).
