condensation in tube

Post by JMyers » Fri Aug 08, 2014 2:27 pm

I am only 3 nights in with my CPAP but I am having an issue with condensation in the tube. I guess they call it rain out. I am using a humidifier and I need the room to be cool to sleep so I have the AC on. I looked into the cost of a sleeve for the tube but they are rather expensive. I went to WalMart and bought a half yard of fleece and came home and sewed a sleeve. Total cost was $2.50 for the fleece, about 6 inches of elastic that I had, and 30 minutes of my time and now I have a fleece sleeve. Hope it helps.

That's what I use. You may find the you will need another layer and / or a layer around the hose that is part of the mask.
To control my rainout, I have two layers on everything. Fleece is great stuff.

nicely done

and a big stinky two fingers up the nose of those that prey on people like us in need by taking a bucks worth of cloth and trying to sell it for lots of $$ because it's for CPAP...

I am so pleased to say that there was no water in my tube last night! I think my homemade tube cozy worked like a charm!
